A unique environment ideal for rearing extraordinary animals

Our pigs are reared in the Gredos mountains, surrounded by Mediterranean forests, holm oak forests, cork oaks and Lusitanian oaks. They feed on wild herbs in the spring and summer and on acorns during the fattening period in autumn and winter.

Iberian pig

We have direct control over all our Iberian pigs.
This allows us to perform genetic control year after year, improving the natural characteristics of this wonderful species. We rear various Iberian pig breeds on our estates, ensuring the sustainability of all our breeds and preserving their home: the Salamanca pastures.

Our pigs intended for bellota products feed exclusively on natural resources, such as the herbs and acorns on our estates, while those used for cebo products feed on premium grains, such as wheat, soya, maize and barley.

Iberian pork products in Spain are governed by the Iberian pork standard, which determines fundamental criteria such as Iberian thoroughbredness and the pigs’ diet. You will find the following official standard seals on all of our products, guarantees of the provenance and diet of our pigs.
