Our roots

Our family always united to Guijuelo

The Nieto family has been conveying the essence of our land for decades, a paradise of holm oak forests and wetlands in the Salamancan mountains. This privileged environment brings unique flavours and aromas to our Iberian pork products.

César Nieto’s history spans five generations — a journey of continuous innovation from 1895 to the present day.
1895
ILDEFONSO NIETO
Livestock trader and pioneer of the Iberian pork industry in Guijuelo.
1943
ALONSO NIETO
Alonso Nieto founds the Iberian pork marketing company. of Iberian pork.
1967
CÉSAR NIETO
Took over the company that is now named in his honour.
1980
FIRST FACILITIES
The company’s first facilities were installed in Guijuelo.
1985
OWN ABATTOIR
Spain's main abattoir for Iberian pork was built, along with other factories.
1986
GUIJUELO D.O.
César Nieto and other business owners in the area founded the Guijuelo designation of origin.
1987
FOURTH GENERATION
César Nieto’s sons, Jorge and César, took over the company.
2001
Los Linares
Acquisition of the Los Linares estate to ensure full control over the production process.
2008
NEW FACILITIES
Inauguration of the new technological facilities in Guijuelo.
2010
IBERFRES
Launch of Iberfres, an exclusive brand for fresh Iberian pork products.
2013
INTERNATIONALIZATION
Start of global expansion, a fundamental cornerstone for the company.
2019
NEW DIGITAL FACTORY
3000m2 of fully digitized factory.
2021
THE ENCINILLAS
Acquisition of another new estate to expand production of our cebo de campo (grain-fed pork).
2022
NEW WEBSITE
New company website and online shop. Space dedicated to professionals and consumers.

MORELS
New sow farms to enhance the genetic makeup of our Iberian pigs.

We breed our own livestock on our three estates in Salamanca and Badajoz. 
Digitalised factories with state-of-the-art machinery for all our processes.
5000 m2 of natural larders where we cure our hams through a fully natural process.

Our
estates

Products made by César Nieto Group, S.L. are mostly derived from pigs reared on our Los Linares estate. Located in the south of the province of Salamanca, this estate is a privileged environment for Iberian pigs.
Our pigs are also under genetic control at our estate in Badajoz, allowing us to constantly improve the quality of our products.
This natural space in the south of Salamanca is ideal for the free-range rearing of pigs, significantly increasing our Iberian pig stock.
